Photography Locations Elk Grove & Sacramento Area Part 2
Great locations for portrait photo sessions
Today is the second part of my series on Photography locations around the Elk Grove and Sacramento Area that are great for portrait sessions. This week I am highlighting Old Elk Grove off of Elk Grove Blvd. and Camden Lake Park area. Both offer some great options for sessions. One is an urban feel with the old town feel of brick buildings, staircases, street lights, planter boxes, etc. The other is a beautiful nature area with beautiful willow trees, a lake and a great bridge trail.
OLD ELK GROVE INFORMATION
Description:
Old Town Elk Grove is a historic area within the city. Right in the heart of main street, Old Elk Grove offers the cute charm of a small town with old time brick buildings, planter boxes, stairs, old light poles, alley ways, and rustic walls with great texture. Old Elk Grove is perfect for someone wanting the Urban feel of photos with streets, buildings, etc. Old Elk Grove offers so many nooks and crannies when waking around doing photo sessions. Even with the cars going by and people walking through this is a great spot for more edgy, old town vibe for sessions. This location is more ideal for senior photos or couples, since it is a little tight in certain areas and would make it a little more difficult for family photos.
Time:
Old Elk Grove is perfect for the early morning sessions and the late afternoon golden hour sessions.

They do have parking lot right off Elk Grove Blvd. right passed the railroad tracks. This is a metered parking lot, but it is not expensive, and it is for 2 hour parking which is perfect for most session timeframes.

CAMDEN PARK INFORMATION
Description:
Located in a quiet neighborhood, Camden Park Greenbelt offers an extensive walking and biking path along a scenic lake. Most of this area is shaded with various species of trees throughout the extensive well-maintained grass areas. Large willow trees sway in the breeze near the lake that runs through the center of the greenbelt. There is a long trail that crosses over a bridge. This is a great spot for all types of photo sessions. The large lake in the center is a big plus, but so are the beautiful hanging willow trees and the bridge on the trail.
