Photography Locations Elk Grove & Sacramento Area Part 3
Great locations for portrait photo sessions
Today is the 3rd part of my series on Photography locations around the Elk Grove and Sacramento Area that are great for portrait sessions. This week I am highlighting two nature trails in Elk Grove, Del Meyer Park and Bond Rd. Nature Trail. Both are a little smaller in size but offer some great nature style backgrounds for sessions.
DEL MEYER PARK INFORMATION
Description:
This is actually a nature trail that connects Jack Hill Park and Camden Lake together. This is a paved trail along the creek, where you can see waterfowl in the morning, mostly ducks and egrets. The trail passes under the railroad tracks, and has arteries from neighborhood cul-de-sacs, and ends up all the way to the bridge to Jack E. Hill Park. It's about 2.5 or 3 miles. This trail is best for Senior Portraits, Couples, or Headshots.
Time:
The golden hour time is best for this location. You could do early morning, the trail is hit with the early morning sunlight and not as much shade.
Parking:
There is a parking lot right off Elk Grove Florin Rd.
Fee:
There is no fee for this area
Features:
1. Long nature trail
2. Laguna Creek runs through the trail with all sorts of birds resting in the water
3. Lots of spots along the trail for great posing
4. Runs under the railroad tracks so you can get some cool shots of the tracks area (cannot go on the tracks however.)
5. Easy to get close to the water
6. Huge hanging trees all along the trail
