It's hard to believe how quickly time flies, especially when you have the privilege of capturing precious moments like Avery Jane's 1-year cake smash milestone session. Originally planned for the great outdoors, Mother Nature had other ideas for us that day. With the weather playing spoilsport, we made the decision to transition indoors. However, challenges like these often lead to unexpected and heartwarming moments.

Avery, understandably a bit tired at first, wasn't quite in the mood for festivities. That's when my husband, Scott, stepped in and worked his magic. With his infectious energy and playful antics, he managed to turn the mood around, coaxing laughter and genuine smiles from our little birthday girl. It's moments like these that make the job not only rewarding but also filled with joy.

The birthday setup, blending sweetness and Valentine's Day vibes, featured a variety of fun stuffed lovies and, a cake at the center of it all the adorable Miss Avery! Despite the change in plans, the indoor setting turned out to be a blessing in disguise, providing a cozy and intimate backdrop for Avery's portraits.

As a photographer, there's a unique joy in witnessing and preserving the growth of the little ones I photograph.
