It was an on again off again rainy day and there was no sun anywhere. It is the dreaded scenario facing any outdoor photographer. I reached out to my college grad, and we decided let’s roll with it. We all headed into Old ElkGrove and as we got to the parking lot the rain stopped and miraculously the clouds parted, and the sun became visible.  We all sighed with heavy relief and got so excited!

I have known Hailey Freeno since she was in kindergarten at Bradshaw Christian. Funny enough her mom and I were in cheer together in high school. I have watched Hailey grow into the most beautiful and sweet hearted young woman. I was privileged to be able to do her senior portraits and now I get to do her college grad photos. What makes everything even more special is that her and my nephew who are high school sweethearts will be getting married in June and Hailey will become my family! Hailey will be graduating from Jessup University in Rocklin, CA this December. Her degree will be a bachelors in English with a concentration in creative writing, and she wants to be a book editor.  

The fall colors in the trees along main street were vibrant and the buildings and alleyways were a great backdrop for this session.  Hailey’s outfits were on point for her session and went with the urban vibe of Old ElkGrove.  Her natural style only accentuates her beauty and amazing personality! One of the main stops we made was to the ElkGrove library where Hailey grew up going to and finding a passion for reading. We went into the library and took some photos for nostalgia since Hailey will be moving after graduation.

Hailey and her future hubby David will be settling in Tennessee near their families and Hailey is hoping to get an editor’s job and plan the wedding. I’m obsessed with Hailey’s images, and she is getting a gallery full of amazing photos to celebrate this huge accomplishment and milestone in her life.  We love you, Hailey. Congratulations and good luck with your bright future!
