Newborn Photography Session: Welcoming Baby Ace
This week, I had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the sweetest little one to my studio for his debut photo session—meet Ace Arrambide Rodillas! From the moment Ace and his mom, Benita, walked through the door, I knew this session was going to be something special. Benita was referred to me by a previous client, and I was thrilled when they chose me to capture these precious moments.
A Dream Newborn Session
Ace was an absolute dream to work with. After a quick feeding from Mom, we gently wrapped him, and he drifted into a peaceful sleep that lasted the entire session—every photographer’s dream! In record time, we were able to complete eight different setups, making it one of the smoothest and fastest newborn sessions I’ve ever had.
Personal Touches & Themed Setups
Benita had a clear vision for Ace’s session, which made the planning process seamless. She shared a few example photos from my previous sessions, and we worked together to create a session that matched her expectations. Two must-have setups included a Harry Potter theme (they’re big fans!) and a dreamy moon and stars backdrop. We also incorporated her preferred color palette of blue, brown, and black. To add a personal touch, Benita brought along Ace’s adorable llama plush, which we featured in some of the shots.

After sending Benita a few sneak peeks, her response melted my heart: “OMG, we love them! They came out so freaking cute! Thank you for making this a great first experience for us! I really love the Harry Potter image. It came out better than I imagined it. I knew they were going to be cute, but how you brought the wand to life just added so much more to it.”
Hearing this kind of feedback is exactly why I love what I do. Capturing these early moments for families and creating memories they’ll cherish forever is truly a dream come true.
