Deven Bella King's senior portrait session was a delightful experience from start to finish. When Tim, her dad, reached out to me about capturing his daughter's senior memories, I was thrilled. Deven herself played an active role in planning the session, sharing her ideas and aspirations with me. One of her biggest dreams was to have her portraits taken at the picturesque Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg. With some proactive scheduling, we made her vision a reality.
From the moment we met, Deven exuded warmth and enthusiasm, making the entire experience enjoyable. We strolled through the Old Sugar Mill, accompanied by the sounds of country music, immersing ourselves in its rustic charm. Despite my initial nerves about the midday lighting, the mill surprised us with its breathtaking diffused light, making for stunning indoor shots without the need for artificial flashes.
Deven's genuine smile, which lights up her beautiful eyes, became the focal point of her portraits. She admitted she was a bit nervous and not really her thing, we quickly hit it off, and the session flowed like a breeze. Shoutout to Tim and Trisha for being the coolest parents ever, giving us space to do our thing while they checked out the wine tasting room nearby. This gave us the creative freedom to capture Deven’s essence in a more relaxed way.
Her outfit choices perfectly reflected her personality and style. From a chic black sundress adorned with pink flowers to trendy denim shorts paired with a flowy coral top and cowboy boots, each ensemble encapsulated Deven's vibrant spirit. And let's not forget her signature cowboy hat, adding an extra touch of flair. As a finale, she proudly donned her University of La Verne top, showcasing her future collegiate endeavors as a soccer player and aspiring businesswoman specializing in marketing and commercial real estate.
