Welcoming Ann-Lynette D. Grant – A Whimsical Newborn Portrait Session

There’s something so special about photographing families I’ve known for years, and the Grant family holds a special place in my heart. I’ve known Caleb since he was a young kid at Bradshaw Christian School, and I had the privilege of capturing his senior portraits. Now, seeing him as a proud dad alongside Alyssa, welcoming their beautiful daughter Ann-Lynette, feels like such a full-circle moment.
Born on December 17, 2024, at 11:28 PM, Ann-Lynette made her grand entrance at 5 lbs. 9 oz. and 19.25 inches long. Her session was a dream come true, filled with thoughtful details, vibrant themes, and the sweetest setups. Not to mention she never fussed and was a perfect little baby the entire session.
A Gift from Grandma Jessica
This session was a loving gift from Grandma Jessica, who knew how much capturing these precious first moments would mean to Alyssa and Caleb. From the moment we planned the session, Alyssa had a clear vision: soft pinks, purples, florals, and a touch of whimsical storytelling.
The Alice in Wonderland Setup
One of the most enchanting parts of the session was the Alice in Wonderland setup. Alyssa brought her original hardback book, a pop-up edition, and adorable Disney figurines to bring the theme to life. We added a charming tea set, a custom “Alice’s Tea Party” tag, and carefully arranged everything to recreate the whimsical magic of the tea party scene. Ann-Lynette, surrounded by these details, was the sweetest little Alice in her dreamy setup.
Personal Touches and Thoughtful Details
Another standout setup included a star galaxy blanket lovingly made by a family friend for Ann-Lynette. Each backdrop and prop was chosen with such care, and we managed to create eight unique setups, each telling its own story. From soft florals to timeless poses, every moment was crafted to highlight Ann-Lynette’s delicate beauty.
