Oh, what a delightful session this was! Every element came together seamlessly – the golden hour lighting, the well-chosen outfits, the ideal location, and of course, the sweet family itself! The gorgeous beauty of Cosumnes River Preserve provided the perfect backdrop for capturing the essence of fall in this lovely family's photos.

Matthew, Catherine, and their cute daughters, Justine and Judy, specifically chose this amazing location because of the fall coloring and wonderful nature vibe they wanted for their family portraits. The little ones, especially Judy, exuded pure adorableness. Judy, with her spirited independence, preferred exploring the ground and constant movement over traditional posing. Justine was quite the ham and loved smiling and showing off. The golden glow at Cosumnes River Preserve during this session was truly breathtaking. The soft, golden light filtering through the trees added a magical touch to each image.

Catherine did a great job with the family’s outfit selections. The color palette of brown, yellow, burgundy, and green, with a subtle hint of blue, not only complemented each family member but also blended seamlessly with the natural surroundings of the preserve. Catherine expressed the importance of capturing that one perfect family shot, while also desiring candid moments that portrayed the fun and playful togetherness of their family.
