Fall Colors and Family Joy: The Difuntorum Family’s Portrait Experience

One of the best parts of being a photographer is reconnecting with families for repeat sessions. Watching families grow, hearing updates on their lives, and capturing new memories is such a joy. The Difuntorum family is one of those special repeat clients, and I was thrilled when Parker reached out to schedule another session this year.
A Picture-Perfect Location
This time, the Difuntorum family chose the Cosumnes River Preserve for their session, and it couldn’t have been more beautiful. With fall in full swing, the vibrant golden and amber hues of the trees created a stunning natural backdrop. The golden-hour lighting was pure magic, casting a soft, warm glow over the family as they laughed and played together.
Nailed the Look!
Shyla, the family’s stylish and organized mom, absolutely nailed the wardrobe choices for everyone. The family’s coordinated outfits in shades of black, brown, and tan perfectly complemented the earthy tones of the preserve. This color palette not only matched the fall vibe but also gave their portraits a timeless, polished feel.
The Stars of the Show
The kids—Charlotte (fondly called Charlie), Cecilia (CeCe), and little Colt—brought so much energy and personality to the session. Charlie’s sweet yet sassy personality had us all smiling, while CeCe’s giggles and curiosity were infectious. And Colt? What a charmer! His spunky attitude and little grin were showstoppers. Watching these siblings interact and seeing their unique personalities shine through was such a delight.
Why I Love What I Do
Every time I step behind the camera, I’m reminded of why I chose this career. Spending time with young families like the Difuntorums, who radiate love and joy, makes every moment worthwhile. It’s not just about the photos; it’s about preserving a slice of their story—something they can look back on and cherish for years to come.
