A Joyful Fall Family Session at Cosumnes River Preserve with the Aguileras

There's something magical about golden hour, especially in the fall, and I couldn’t have asked for a better family session with the Aguileras! We met up at Cosumnes River Preserve in Elk Grove, a gorgeous spot where the autumn colors were showing off. The Aguilera family hadn’t had professional photos since the last two kiddos joined their crew, so this session felt extra special.
From the moment they arrived, I knew we were in for a fun time! Rick and Brittney brought so much warmth and joy, and their kids kept the energy high. Brittney absolutely nailed it with their outfits. Seriously, the colors they chose against the backdrop of the preserve were perfect—definitely rocking that fall vibe.
And then there was baby Nathan. Oh my goodness, talk about a scene-stealer! Nathan was all smiles the entire time, and you could just tell he’s the light of the family. Watching his big brother, Colton, being so sweet and helpful with Nathan completely melted my heart. It’s always incredible to see siblings share that kind of bond.
Addilyn and Daniel brought a ton of excitement to the session too! These two were like little bursts of energy, and I had the best time chatting with them about everything under the sun. They were up for all the fun and playfulness we could pack into the session.
Brittney had asked for a more interactive session where the family could be themselves—laughing, playing, and just enjoying time together. We made sure to capture those candid moments, and I have no doubt these images will bring them so many smiles for years to come.
Family photo sessions like this remind me why I love what I do. It's not just about capturing a pretty picture; it’s about freezing those real, joyful moments in time—moments that families will cherish forever.
